The short version
The calculators run entirely in your browser. Dates, numbers and any other value you type never leave your device — there is no request carrying them, and no server that could store them. This site has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms.
What we collect
- Nothing from the tools. Every calculation happens locally in JavaScript. Your input is never transmitted.
- Anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics — pages viewed, approximate region, device type and referring site. This is aggregate data and is not used to identify you.
- Whatever you choose to put in an email. If you write to us, we keep the message for as long as it takes to answer it and to act on what it says.
Cookies and advertising
We use three browser storage entries of our own: one remembers whether you chose light or dark mode, one records your cookie choice, and one remembers which hemisphere the Moon illustration should face, if you told us. None contains an identifier, and none leaves your device.
This site displays advertising and measures its own traffic. Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and review other options at aboutads.info.
Location
The Moon phases tool can ask for your location, and only if you press the button that says so. It is used for one thing: the Moon appears mirrored between the northern and southern hemispheres, so the illustration needs to know which side of the equator you are on.
We read the latitude once, reduce it to a single word — north or south — and discard the rest. Your coordinates are never stored and never transmitted; only that word is kept, in your own browser. Clearing your browser data removes it, and you can decline the permission without losing anything: the tool then guesses from your time zone.
Your cookie choice
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, nothing that needs consent runs until you give it: analytics and advertising cookies start switched off, and a banner asks before anything is stored. Elsewhere they are on by default, which the law in those places allows.
Rejecting is not a lesser option. You still get every tool, and you still see ads — they are just not personalised, and we learn less about how the site is used. You can change your mind whenever you like through the Cookies link in the footer of any page.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the Brazilian LGPD you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. In practice the only personal data we can hold is an email you sent us. Write to admin@toin.app and we will action it.
